Mrs. Martha Archer, age 97, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Cornerstone Village.
Mrs. Archer was born in Washington County and the daughter of the late I.N. & Polly Deyton Haire. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Harold Archer, two brothers, Boone Lee Haire and Floyd “Bud” Haire and a grandson-in-law, Chris Johnson.
She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four children, Ronnie Archer (Betty), Kenny Archer (Gail), Janice Weaver (Phil), and Judy Harris (Tim); grandchildren, Mike Archer (Angie), Becky Cox, Jana Archer, Jessica Johnson, Chad Harris (Kim); great-grandchildren, Madison Metcalf (Logan) and Mason Harris; sisters-in-law, Louise Davidson and Katherine Archer; special family members, Angela Bates, Kelly Daniel, Kristy Loflin, Rusty Weaver, Jennifer Maher, Debbie Moore, Linda Maxwell, Vickie Shipley & their families.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Cornerstone Village, Avalon Hospice and Dr. Stephanie Manginelli.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor John H. Moore and Pastor Cindy Paxton officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chad Harris, Logan Metcalf, Mike Archer, Ralph Fulkerson, Bertin Perez, Jimmy Rash, Sam Shipley and Mark Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Davidson, Wayne Moore, Rick Maxwell and Arthur Deyton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fairview United Methodist Church, 878 Hwy. 81 North, Jonesborough, TN 37659 or New Hope Church of the Brethren Building Fund, 392 New Hope Rd. Jonesborough, TN 37659.

of a kind a true lady. I enjoyed staying with her more than I can
say. Loved listening to her telling stories about when she was
a young girl, especially about walking to school with her lunch
