Mr. Edward Rupert, age 69, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 at his residences surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Rupert was born in Washington County and the son of the late Charles & Vera Jarrett Rupert. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Lynn Rupert.
He was a member of Limestone Free Will Baptist Church and attended the Midst.
Mr. Rupert was a United States Army Veteran having served during Vietnam.
Survivors include sons, Allen Rupert (Sarah), Robbie Rupert (Vickie); daughter Debbie Tester (Bobby); six grandchildren, Charlie Rupert (Brittany), Amber Rupert (Marcus), Toby Rupert (Kassie), Sid Tester, Cassidy Rupert, and Josh Tester; great-grandchild, Kayden Rupert; one brother, Wayne Rupert (Jane); special friends, Darrel Mann, Ronnie Goodman and Bones Adams.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jacob Fry.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Monday, February 11, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Roach and Pastor Jamie Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Limestone Freewill Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

Things will never be the same. Always got a laugh (or 10) around Eddie. He would always find the silver lining with any issue. It is so difficult losing parents. No matter old we children get, it still hurts so much. Praying for your family throughout.
