Thelma (Carr) Brickey, age 80, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019, peacefully at Four Oaks Health Care Center of Jonesborough, Tennessee, surrounded by family, following a lengthy illness.
A native of Kingsport, Tennessee but also lived in Gray, Greeneville and Bethel Housing of Jonesborough.
Thelma retired from Levi Strauss of Johnson City, Tennessee.
Daughter of the late Ed and Ethel Brickey of Kingsport, Tennessee.
Survived by three daughters, Kim Lewis and husband James “Butch” of Watauga, TN; Penny Greene and husband Johnny of Telford, TN; and Melanie Briggs of Chuckey, TN. Seven grandchildren, Tony Pruitt, US Army Veteran, Misty Gray, Candice Arrowood, Heather Whitley, Dustin Briggs and Sabrina Banks. Eight great grandchildren, Autumn and Devin Pruitt, Sarah Sparks, Destiny Story, Josh Briggs, Riley Arrowood, Isabella and Cooper Banks. One brother Ed Brickey and wife Nancy of Gray, Tennessee. One neice Patrice Curtis and husband Phillip. One great nephew Justin Runion and one great niece Brittany Dickerson. Several cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, February 8, 2019 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Kingsport.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.

I was Facebook friends with her and we used to play games against each other a lot. She had an amazing demeanor about her. We never met, but she was an awesome lady. Prayers to all the family/friends during this difficult time
