Terry L. Taylor passed away Thursday, December 27, surrounded by family at the Johnson City Medical Center.

After serving honorably in the Marine Corps, Terry worked in various construction jobs, eventually retiring from ETSU’s VA campus. Preceding Terry in death were siblings Donny, Danny, Raymond, Peggy Hoss, Barbara Payne, and Rosalee (Bootsie) Sparks.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Tom Lilly and Minister Henry Payne officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 10:45 am Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Pallbearers include nephews Brian Taylor, Adam Breeden, and Ryan Dougherty, and friends Tony Stayer, Eddie Fish, and Roy Crane. Honorable pallbearers are nephews Tony Hoss, Jack Hoss, and Kenny Taylor, and friend James Turner.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and technicians on 2400 and 2500 at JCMC, Dr. Krishnan and his office, and Dr. Mehta and the doctors at Pulmonary Associates for their excellent care. Terry was a lifelong resident of the Jonesborough area and he will be sorely missed by family, friends, and his brothers and sisters in Christ.

Terry and I spend a lot of time together as children. We loved going to the old Capitol Theater in Jonesborough, watching movies. Terry was always a positive influence on me and others around him. He will be greatly missed. Mike Hoss, the brother of Hubert Hoss.
