After 62 years of visiting this earth, Marjorie Jeanette McCoy Miller, said a momentary good-bye to us on Friday, December 14, 2018 at her residence surrounded by family and friends.
Jeanette was the daughter of the late Joe Greg McCoy, Jr. & Eunice Keefauver McCoy. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Shelton McCoy.
She is survived by her two children, Liza Christine Gibbs (Chris) and Jonathan Charles Miller (Lauran); one granddaughter, Tia Laws and soon to be grandson, Mason Miller; brother, Joe McCoy (Cathy); sister, Liz McCoy; sister-in-law, Belinda McCoy; and several nieces and nephews.
Jeanette was born January 10, 1956 in Washington County, Tennessee. She was baptized Catholic and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and owned Marj’s on Main in Jonesborough for nine years.
Special thanks to her caretaker and best friend, Jimmy Smith. They enjoyed many memorable camping trips in the mountains. Also, thanks to Dianne Duggar and her team of caregivers, especially Rosemary Clabo and many family and friends for all their compassion, love and support through her journey. Special thanks also goes to Amedisys Hospice Care and to Jeanette’s nurse, Ashley.
Jeanette was especially fond of the beach and sunshine. She could be found on the shores of South Carolina every summer. She enjoyed time with her family at gatherings throughout the year. Jeanette loved animals especially Maggie, her Border Collie, and Bella, her beloved Shih Tzu.
Celebration of Life services will be conducted 5:00-9:00 pm Saturday, January 5, 2018 at The Heritage in Jonesborough.

Joe, Liz, Christy, Jonathan & the entire family, I offer my
condolences to all of you during this difficult time. If there is
anything I can do for you, please don’t hesitate to call me.
Jeanette & I went to school together since the 8th grade. We
became best friends & shared many wonderful times together.
She was such a fun happy lady with laughter & personal
opinions to share with everyone! She smiled & laughed always
which made you want it spend more time with her. She was
optimistic & a loving friend, mother, grandmother, sister &
caring to anyone she met. She will be deeply missed & often
fondly remembered! Rest In Peace Jeanette. Love you ❤️
