Mr. Glen (Al) Maiden, 81, Jonesborough, passed away December 12, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Maiden was born in Washington County, Virginia to the late Cecil Glen Maiden and Blanche Moore Maiden. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Maiden, a daughter Connie Lynn Maiden and a son Marvin Fritts.
He was a member of Jonesborough United Methodist Church.
Mr. Maiden was retired but worked as a material’s testing tech for S&ME Company the years before retirement.
Survivors include two son’s Phillip Glen Maiden Sr. (Susan), Ohio, Stewart Fritts, Gray, two daughters Belinda McCoy, Jonesborough, Kim Garland, (Robbie), Alabama, nine grandchildren, Glen Maiden, Jr., Laura Johnson, Julia Hasten, Brett Garland, Noah Garland, Ryan Garland, Allison Fritts, Sydney Fritts, and Lance Boyd and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Maiden will be conducted 12:00 pm Saturday December 15, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Karen Lane officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 pm to 12 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be William Hasten, Mike Johnson, Noah Garland, Lance Boyd, and Robby Garland.
Belinda, I was saddened to learn of Al's passing this week. I have such fond memories of working with both of you, so many years ago . . and of meeting your Mom in Jonesborough, also so many years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Al was such a good, kind man. I will
never forget that he bought my wedding
dress. May you have great joy in God's
kingdom.
