Mr. Jack Snapp, age 89, Limestone, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Snapp was born in Washington County and the son of the late Elmer E. & Leona Broyles Snapp. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ilene Snapp Barnes and Christine Kyker.
He was a life-long member of New Salem Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.
Mr. Snapp was a Supervisor at Burlington Industries. He was a prize-winning gardener, known for his large watermelons, tomatoes, and other vegetables. He enjoyed music, singing and playing the harmonica.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Ruth Mitchell Snapp, Limestone; daughters, Donna Bishop and Brenda Ealey (Freddie); son, Gary Snapp (Lisa); grandchildren, Jason Clark (Lorie), Karri Jones, Sara Edwards (Nico), Robert Tilson and Amanda Cutshall; great-grandchildren, Micah Edwards, Bailey Clark, Hannah Clark, Jase Clark and Addison Grooms.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Ponder officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 Friday, December 14, 2018 at New Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
