Mr. Gerald “Peg Leg” Laws, age 67, Limestone, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Laws was born in Washington County and the son of the late Crawford & Frances Nelson Laws. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Laws.
He loved dirt-track racing. He was passionate about Motorsports. He prepared racing surfacing for the at numerous racetracks. He had owned race cars since he was 20 years old.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Laws, Limestone; daughter “Wyndi” Laws, Telford; son, Wesley Laws (Lisa), Jonesborough; granddaughter, Tia Laws; step-grandchildren, Eric Hilbert and Laura Norton; sister, Judy Arthur (Frank); very special friends, Alan Poyner, David Ealey, Chris Clay, Chris Broyles, Bobby Mayes, Jimmy Morrow and Candy Hagie.
Memorial services will be conducted 6:00 pm Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Perry Cleek officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family c/o Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home P.O. Box 98 Jonesborough, TN 37659.
