Mary Williams Meader, age 79, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Meader was born in Birmingham, Alabama and the daughter of the late James Andrew & Gladys Smith Williams.
She was a member of Boones Creek Christian Church.
Mrs. Meader retired from the Johnson City Power Board where she worked in customer service.
Survivors include two sons, Clifford Meader and wife Connie, Jonesborough and Tracy Meader and girlfriend Gloria Nix, Elizabeth City, NC; daughter, Wendy Meader, Johnson City; best friends, Flash, Addie, Grommet and Brandy; and several nephews and nieces.
Memorial services will be conducted 5:00 pm Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Boones Creek Christian Church with Minister David Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 pm Saturday prior to the service.
Memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity International 270 Peach Tree Street NW Suite 1300 Atlanta, GA 30303.

Im sorry for the loss of your mother. Sending prayers for you and your family.
To Marys family I offer my deepest sympathy, I will always remember Mary as the first person I met when I moved to Boone Hill. Mary came to see me two weeks prior to her passing and I will cherish our conversation on many subjects. I will miss her.
