Mrs. Dorothy Ambrose, age 90, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital.
Mrs. Ambrose was born in Washington County and the daughter of the late Zeb Blankenship & Lillie Broyles Blankenship White. She was also preceded in death by her husband, W.D. Ambrose, Jr., a grandson, Jason Spears and a half-sister, Shirley White.
She was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ambrose retired from Kincade Furniture Factory.
Survivors include four children, Sandra Ambrose, Gary Ambrose, Bobby Ambrose, all of Jonesborough and Rita Spears, Johnson City; grandson, Travis Spears; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Spears and Katelyn Spears; and special friend, “Ozzy”.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm Saturday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
