Mrs. Joyce Ann Higgins Hensley, age 76, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2018 at the home of her son.
Mrs. Hensley was born in Washington County and the daughter of the late George & Juanita Cox Whitaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband H. Wayne Hensley, one brother, two sisters and a grandson, Logan Tyler Higgins.
She was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hensley was a Cook at Burlington Industries.
Survivors include six children, Chad Higgins (Lindsey), Carroll Higgins, Frank Higgins (Connie), Melinda Smith, Jennifer Thomas (Jeff) and Samantha Spencer (Jeff); special granddaughter, Tesla Durbin; sixteen grandchildren; one brother, Kyle Whitaker; and three sisters, Helen Russell, Connie Taylor and Sherry Whitaker.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 pm Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor John H. Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm Sunday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, October 29, 2018 at Washington County Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Justin Brown, Jimmy Brown, David Cole, Dustin Walters, Jason Spencer, and Daniel Durbin. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Higgins and Carson Higgins.
