Nick Phillips

Nick Phillips, age 23, Jonesborough, beloved brother of Abby Phillips and precious son of Darryl & Valerie Phillips, went to his eternal home with Jesus on Sunday, September 23, 2018. He also leaves here to treasure his memory two loving grandmothers, Lucy Babb and Lavaughn Everhart; two uncles, Bob Everhart and Greg Phillips; seven cousins, Emily Everhart, Stephanie Everhart, Taylan Phillips, Kendra Phillips, Madison Phillips, Zane Phillips and Jocelyn Phillips.
Nick was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren, being baptized at the age of 9. Nick was a man of strong faith, courage, honor and compassion.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Don Hilton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 10:00 am Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery with the processional departing the funeral home at 9:30 am.
Pallbearers will be Bob Everhart, Greg Phillips, Richard Moseley, Steve Davis, Randy Peterson, Ed Walls and Nathan Gouge. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren.
Nick recently was honored as being a ten-year supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to St. Jude’s 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Samaritan’s Purse P.O. Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607.
