Mrs. Georgia Rhea Lowe, age 84, Jonesborough, passed away, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Lakebridge Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Lowe was born in Elizabethton and had lived in Jonesborough since she was five years old. She was the daughter of the late W. O. & Mary Ethel Tilson Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her husband Norman Leeword Lowe.
She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and was the oldest charter member.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Georgia & Ron” Skip” Reed, Jonesborough; granddaughters, Missy Southerland (Aaron), Telford and Jenny Breeden (Adam), Jonesborough; one brother, Bob Lee Edwards (Sara)Jonesborough; sister, Geraldine Floyd, Piney Flats; great-grandsons, Jacob Austin Southerland; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Friday, September 7, 2018 at Midway Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 9:00 am Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Washington County Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Georgia, So sorry to hear about your mom. She was
my cousin and I always loved to spend time with
her. I want to come to the service, but I just had
knee replacement. Just know our thoughts and
prayers are with your family.
I am so sorry for your loss. It's never easy when
we lose our mother, no matter our age. May God's
word comfort & soothe you during this time.
