Mr. Michael Earl Horton, age 61, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Horton was born in Fresno, California and the son of the late Earl & Delsie Massey Horton. He was also preceded in death by a son, Toby Randal Oliver and a brother, Milford Horton.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Horton was an OLS Operator for Hexpol. He was a loving family man who had a passion for riding his Harley Davidson.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy “Duke” Crawford Horton, Jonesborough; sons, Michael “Shane” Horton and his wife, Misty, Stanley Brance Horton and partner Sam Baker and Mack Sanders; daughter, Jodi Martin; sisters, Merita Warden, Sandy Verwey, Mary Etta Adams and Kay Martinusen; grandchildren, Christopher Horton, Gavin Horton, Avery Grace Martin, Willow Horton, Caleb Blankenship, Jake Broyles, Savannah Broyles, Hunter Sanders, Matthew Sanders and Mackenzie Sanders;several nephews and nieces; and his beloved dog, Jake.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Jim Montag & Staff, Jonesborough Community Care, Melissa Turner, RN and the entire Avalon Hospice team.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, July 23, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. John H. Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Monday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shane Horton, Brance Horton, Mack Sanders, Gavin Horton, Caleb Blankenship and Charles Derry.
