Mrs. Iva Bernice Blevins, age 69, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Four Oaks Health Care Center.
Mrs. Blevins was born in Carter County and the daughter of the late Joshua Tilson Bishop & Suda Reva Bell Humphrey. She was also preceded in death by fifteen brothers and sisters.
She retired from Exide Battery in 2009. She loved gardening and sewing.
Mrs. Blevins was a Christian.
Survivors include her husband, James Blevins, Elizabethton; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy & Todd Ross, Michigan; grandson, Cody Ross, Michigan; three sisters, Kathy Proffitt, Greeneville, Elizabeth Ramsey, Johnson City and Lucille Hochstetler (Levi), Elizabethton; three brothers, Bill Bishop, Indiana, Harold Bishop (Diane) and Jerry Bishop, all of Johnson City; and several nephews and nieces.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Four Oaks Health Care Center for their loving care.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Danny Webster officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, June 4, 2018 at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
