Charles Myron Oliver, age 73, of Johnson City passed away Friday (May 4, 2018) from a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by parents Charles W. Oliver and Anna Oliver.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Jane Oliver, son; Todd, (Karen) Oliver; daughter; Mary Ann Oliver-Knoepfler, sisters; Norma Jean Smith and Linda Ann Oliver; grandsons; Anthony Tobias Oliver, Joshua Matthew Knoepfler; and great-grandson, Michael Richard Knoepfler; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charles is a member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church and the Virgil Anderson Sunday School Class.
Charles received a BS degree in Accounting from ETSU. He began his 30 year career at Eastman Chemical in 1967 as a Systems Programmer and established.
He was a member of United States Council for International Business, IBM - Customer Executive Advisory Council, and Sprint - Customer Executive Advisory Council, and a member of United States Council for International Business, IBM - Customer Executive Advisory Council, and Sprint - Customer Executive Advisory Council.
In lieu of flowers the family invites donations in Charles' name to Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, Holston Home for Children and The Crumley House.
Receiving of friends Tuesday, May 8 from 12:30pm to 2:00pm at Sanctuary. Following that, there will be a memorial service, officiated by Mark Gooden from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Sanctuary.
