Mrs. Doris Ann Hendrix, age 70, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, April 22 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Hendrix was born in Madison County, NC and the daughter of the late Frank Estes & Marie Edwards Shelton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Howard Hendrix.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hendrix retired from the Washington County Health Department, where she was a Home Health Nurse. She was one of thirteen children, she loved her family and will be deeply missed. She enjoyed the outdoors and flowers. She would give help to anyone who was in need.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard “Rick” & Wendy Campbell, Telford; one brother and sister-in-law, Ted B. & Anne Shelton; sister, Joyce Cummings; brother-in-law, Ronnie Ferguson; nephews and nieces, Debbie Riddle Garcia, Tammy Ferguson Jones, Randy Ferguson, Sandy Ferguson Donaldson, Tony Shelton, Becky Shelton Sell and Adam Shelton.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Nuff. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ted B. Shelton, Doug Garcia, Tony Shelton, Steve Jones, Tom Donaldson and Anthony Tester. Honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie Ferguson.
