Irene Pearl Casey, 88, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at Four Oaks Health Care.
Mrs. Casey was born in Washington County, daughter of the late Robert and Mattie Love. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband; Oscar Casey, daughter, Joan King; sisters Wanda Wilson, Eva Tipton, Lucy Greenwell, Alice Edna Graham, and Ruth Rogers; brother, Ted Love; and daughter-in-law, Wanda Casey.
Mrs. Casey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a lifetime member of Embreville Cove Missionary Baptist Church.
The family expresses their very special thanks to Four Oaks and Caris Hospice for their loving care.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Rick Casey (Rebecca) and Layman Casey; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Donnie Love.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 PM, Monday, April 16, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
A funeral service for Mrs. Casey will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Embreville Cove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Otis Banks officiating. Graveside service will follow at Bumpass Cove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
