Mrs. Edith Peters, Erwin, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 on her 95th birthday at the Center on Aging and Health.
Mrs. Peters was born in Unicoi County, daughter of the late George and Minta Freeman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Peters; a son, Clyde Peters; sister, Nellie Mae Masters; brothers, Elbert Freeman, Stanley Freeman, and James Roy Freeman; sister-in-law, Dorothy Freeman; and nephew, Harley Rogers.
Mrs. Peters was a member of Dry Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are son, Robert Freeman (Loretta); grandchildren Joyce Dulaney (Chris), Clyde (Jimmy) Peters, Chris Freeman, Sherrie Freeman, Eric Freeman, Jamie Freeman, and Hannah Holder; great grandchildren Heather Davis (fiancé Jason Hammett), Sarah Hurt (Jimmy), and Ethan Peters; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Rogers; special nieces, Sandra Hopson and Beverly Garland; many other nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Florene Freeman.
Funeral services for Mrs. Peters will be 4 PM, Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Miller and Pastor Terry Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM prior to the service and at the home of Nancy Rogers, 890 Rock Creek RD, Apartment D-4, Erwin.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, April 16, 2018 at Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

that God “is near to those that are broken at heart; and those
who are crushed in spirit he saves.” We pray that you find
comfort in knowing that our loving God looks forward, as much
as we do, to reuniting us with our loved ones. (Job 14:14, 15)

prayers. She ws a cousin to my mom Bonnie Kate
Darnell. She was a very special peson and was
loved by all our family and will be missed
