Mr. Jack R. Percell, age 74, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Percell was born in Washington County and was the son of the late Walter “Frosty” & Janie Briggs Percell. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald Lee, Bobby Gene and Billy Joe and one sister, Linda Sue.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Mr. Percell retired from Snap-on-Tools after 29 years of service and also had worked at Burlington Industries.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa ‘Toni” McQueen Percell, Jonesborough; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy & Craig Ponder, Limestone; son and daughter-in-law, Troy & Tracie Percell, Jonesborough; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Jerry & Lou Percell, Wayne & Shirley Percell, Marvie & Doris Percell, all of Jonesborough and Donald ‘Ward” & Janice Briggs, North Carolina; grandchildren, Rachel Ponder, Jonathan Ponder (Megan), Taylor Percell (Brandon) and Michael Percell; two great-grandchildren, Teagan & Tallon; sister-in-law, Helen Percell; brother-in-law, Claude Percell; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Ponder officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 am.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
I worked with Jack at Snap-On for many years, we
had many laughs, the last time I saw Jack was at a
David Crockett football game, Rest In Peace Jack..
