Mr. Olen Gentry, age 77, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Johnson
City Medical Center.
Mr. Gentry was born in Greene County and was the son of the late George & Flora Cutshall
Gentry. He was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Olen was owner & operator of 107 Video Store before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman his
entire life; he enjoyed being in the woods hiking, fishing, or just exploring. He never met a
stranger and loved his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Ratliff Gentry, Jonesborough; two daughters, Judy Bradley and
Angie Hunt; grandchildren, Shasta Burton (Bruce) and Daniel Schofield (Lashanda); greatgrandchildren,
Brandon, Caydon, Kent, Bryson, Braydon, Keelan and Journee; brothers and
sisters, Carson Gentry (Martha), Rayven Gentry, Bennie Gentry, Elgin Gentry (Kaye), Clifford
Gentry, Martha Bowman, Trula Dunbar (Robert), Lola Ricker and Hazel Weems (Junior.); and
several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral
Home with Rev. David Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm
Friday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Seviers Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.

Words can't express the love I have for Olen. He was always telling me how much he loved me. Please accept my deepest condolences and prayers. He will be greatly missed. May God give you peace and understanding.

Olen was such a great caring man. My uncle. I am
going to truly miss him so much. Have so many
memories of him growing up. I will hold onto those
for a lifetime. My deepest sympathy for the family
