Louise Laraia Pistorio

Louise Laraia Pistorio, 93, of Stuart, FL and formerly Wethersfield and Hartford, Connecticut passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2017 with her daughter by her side.
Louise was raised in Hartford, the daughter of the late Gennaro and Maria (LaCava) Laraia. She was blessed with 13 siblings.
Louise is survived by two sons and a daughter, Joseph Pistorio of Stuart, FL, Bruce Pistorio and his fiance, Brenda Lombardo, of Wethersfield, CT, and Charlene MacIntyre and her husband, Russell, of Jonesborough, Tennessee (formerly of Suffield, CT). She also leaves behind three Grandsons, Michael Pistorio and his wife Nancy of Fort Worth, Texas, Robert Pistorio and his wife Kalynn, of Jupiter, Florida, and Jim Pistorio of Kendallville, Indiana, along with nine great grandchildren
Louise is also survived by her sister, Carmela LeConche of Wethersfield, CT, brother and sister-in-law, James and Jeannine Laraia of Port Charlotte, FL, and sister-in-law, Julie Laraia of West Hartford, CT. She is also survived by a large number of nieces and nephews that she adored.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Pistorio. She was also predeceased by her sisters (and spouses) Rose (Tony) Bonadies, Anna (Al) Veniscofsky, Petrina (Chet) Zocco, Eleanor (Nick) Bonadies, and Theresa Zisk. She was also predeceased by her brothers (and spouses) Pasquale (Mary), Rocco (Marie), Anthony (Rita), Dominic (Sandy), Frank (Marge) and John Laraia, and brother-in-law, Jim LeConche.
Louise retired from the Connecticut State Employees Association (CSEA) and was a former co-owner of Agawam Skating Arena (Carousel) in Agawam, MA. In her retirement years, she volunteered at the Stuart Public Library, St. Joseph's soup kitchen and Meals on Wheels.
The family wishes to thank her many friends at Cedar Pointe Village, the staff at Broadmore Assisted Living and the amazing staff at Johnson City Medical Center for the love and care given to our mother.
