Mrs. Martha Nell Yates, age 73, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Four Oaks Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Yates was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Ralph Zeke & Louise Lilly Crawford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Yates. She was also preceded in death by daughters, Lori Ann Britt and Donna Warren, brother, John Crawford and a sister, Jean Johnson.
She was a member of Jonesborough Second Baptist Church. She loved everyone and was very kind hearted. She had worked hard all her life and was always willing to help others.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Kerrie Aistrop (Jamie), Sherrie Prusik (R Jay), Cody Warren (Samantha) and Daniel Warren (Christina); several great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Irene & James Foulks, Tom & Ernie Crawford, Billy “Mag” & Gary Baines, Mike & Duke Horton, Pete & Becky Crawford and Randy Crawford; sister-in-law, Janice Crawford; brother-in-law, J.B. Johnson; and several nephews and nieces.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Four Oaks Healthcare Center for their wonderful loving care given to Martha.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor John Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Thursday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
