Donnie Ray Dykes, age 71, born July 28, 1946, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017.
He was a native of Washington County and resided to Greeneville, TN.
Donnie was a long-haul truck driver and proudly served his country in the US Army.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Donnie was preceded in death by his wife Wanda, parents Clyde and Sarah Dykes, and several brothers and sisters.
Donnie is survived by his sons Allen Dykes and Michael Dykes; grandsons, Ethan Dykes and Eli Dykes; siblings, Betty McGee, Jack Dykes and wife Carlotta, Linda Taylor, Brenda Rogers, Darryl Dykes and wife Jana; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 PM prior to the service. Funeral services for Mr. Dykes will be 7:00 PM, Monday, November 27, 2017 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Reverend Jack Dykes officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:30 PM, Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
Mr. Dykes was a great man and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him! So sorry for your loss!

Dear family,
I am so saddened to learn of Uncle Donnie's passing. He was always such a sweet man and so kind to me. My prayers are with each of you in this time of sorrow and sadness. It helps to know that he is no longer suffering and is happy and healthy now. He has joined his family, one of them being my sweet daddy, in heaven and I imagine they are all sitting on a beautiful lake fishing and laughing like they used to. I know they are all so happy to see him and to be together once again. Please let the wonderful memories of him console each of your hearts.
