Gertrude Butler Cross

Mrs. Gertrude Butler Cross, age 76, Chicago, IL, formerly of Jonesborough, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at Rainbow Arch Hospice Hospital in Chicago, IL following a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Washington County, TN and daughter of the late George & Betha Rodifer Butler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Cross and three brothers, Bill, Junior, and Lee Butler.
Mrs. Cross was of the Baptist faith and formerly attended Dry Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, James Butler, Chicago; three sisters, Mildred Casteel, Helen Story and Sarah Edmondson; four brothers, Albert Butler, Jack Butler, Carl Butler and Floyd Dale Butler; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Family so very sorry to hear of the passing of
Gertrude. As young girls here on dry creek we were
together any time we could find some free time
from working. It was Gertrude,Peggy,Velma and
myself rating the frig. at one of our houses.I
pray you will find comfort in trusting Jesus to be
with each of you thur the difficult days ahead.
