Mrs. Janie Cox, Limestone, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Cox was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Bruce & Daisy Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Willie Mitchell, a brother, Howard Mitchell, sister-in-law, Linda Mitchell and a great niece, Carrie Kyker.
She attended Faith Tabernacle Church and Pleasant Grove Missionary Church.
Mrs. Cox worked at Lingo Packing Company. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Travis “Tab” Cox, Limestone; one brother, Harold Mitchell; sister-in-law, Faye Mitchell; nephews, Mike Mitchell (Lori), Johnny Mitchell and Clyde Cox; nieces, Carol Mitchell, Kellye Shelton and Betty Mitchell; great nephews, Travis Kyker and Jacob Mitchell; great nieces, Lindsey Shreve (Logan) and Kayla Dearstone (Aaron); special friends, Pama Phillips, Michael Phillips and Nancy Feezell.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, September 22, 2017 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Friday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
