As a child I had the fortune of living in the
same neighborhood as the Wilhoit family. They
always treated me as one of the family and all
of them were an important part of my life. It
has been many years since I had seen or spoken
to C.L. but I have never forgotten the impact
he had on my life. C.L. was an honest,
straight-up, and very giving man. C.L. loved
baseball and spent almost every day coaching us
and teaching us the game. I remember many
summer Saturday’s loaded up with Eddie in the
jeep and headed to the mountains or a baseball
game with C.L. He was also very funny and had
a quick wit. I still think back and
occasionally laugh remembering something he
said. Thank you C.L. for being a part of my
life.

C.L. loved baseball. He made time most every day that weather would allow to practice baseball with the neighborhood kids. All were welcomed. He taught us the game. My sincere sympathy goes out to CL's family. He
was a friend I have known since 1944 in small
community of Chuckey,Tennessee. He was a true,
honest and sincere person who thought of his
family all the time. He was a hard worker at what
ever he did. The community has lost a real person
and he is one who will be hard to replace in the
day to day workings. God Bless and peace be with
you.
Tiffany & Daniel and family,
We are so sorry to learn of your granddad's
passing. Please know you are in our thoughts and
prayers in the days ahead.
