Mr. Lynn Williams, age 53, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.
Mr. Williams was born in Manhattan, Kansas and son of Margaret Richter Williams and the late Albert King. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, R.B. Bawgus.
He was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Williams was employed by TPRC Broadband in Greensboro, NC. He was a fifteen year United States Navy Veteran having served in the Gulf War.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Bawgus Williams, Jonesborough; daughter, Katy Moore Goins (Derrick), Greeneville; son, Brad Moore (Tara), Jonesborough; four grandchildren, Corrie Moore, Lexie Moore, Chloe Goins and Dakota Goins; step-mother, Jessie King, Lowell, Ohio; brother, Mark King, Houston, Texas; mother-in-law, Georgia Bawgus, Johnson City; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike Bawgus, Johnson City, Roger Bawgus (Mona), Mays Landing, New Jersey, Karen Broyles (Bill) and Teresa Hagy (Ben) all of Jonesborough; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the doctors and nurses at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Cherry Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm Saturday prior to the service. Graveside services will follow at Cherry Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill Broyles, Ben Hagy, Lee Broyles, Mike Bawgus, Roger Bawgus, Damon Bawgus, Billy Broyles and Derrick Goins. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.
