Jane Wagnon Williams, loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend went to be with her savior, Jesus Christ, on February 23, 2017. She died in her family home in Jonesborough, Tennessee at 77 years old. She was born on November 13, 1939 in Atlanta, GA. She has lived in Jonesborough since 2007.

She enjoyed serving, especially her family, whom she loved so dearly. She was involved in the lives of all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. and was very active in her church, especially in drama. She gained joy from writing, nature, adventure, along with alone time with her Savior, meeting the needs of others, and loving and serving those around her unconditionally. She was project oriented, going to great lengths to create unique ways of expressing her love. Her source of strength came from the support of her loving husband and her intimate relationship with her Lord. It’s hard to imagine life without her and we are thankful for every minute we had with her. Her fingerprint left a mark on every person she knew. She gave more than she took and her legacy of love will affect us forever.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mae Wagnon. She is survived by her loving husband and dancing partner of 56 years, David Williams. Ta da. Her sister, Jeanne Miyakawa. Her five children: Catherine Williams, Jim Williams and his wife, Heather; Audrey and her husband, Britt Hancock; Amy and her husband, Coleman Hufham; and Beth and her husband, Chip Backus. Dagmar Vaught was a true daughter as well, not by blood, but by love. She adored her 13 grandchildren: Hannah Hancock Johnson, Aspen Hancock, Jacob and his wife, Cassie, David Hancock, Chad, Caleb, Colby and Cade Backus, Hudson, Luke, Jake, and Elsie Hufham, Skye Williams. She also had two great-grandchildren that she loved, Hadassah and Samuel Johnson.

There will be a visitation period on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Crossroads Christian Church in Gray, TN, to share memories and offer support to the family from 2 - 4:00 PM. A Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 PM.
