Mrs. Christine Snapp Kyker, age 90, Telford, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Four Oaks Health Care Center.
Mrs. Kyker was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Elmer E. & Leona Broyles Snapp. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Wib” Kyker, sister, Irlene Snapp Barnes, step-sons, Kenneth “Kenny” Kyker and Charles Kyker, Jr. and a brother-in-law, E.W. “Shorty” Barnes.
Mrs. Kyker was known to many as the sweetest lady they ever knew. Although she had no children of her own, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandma. She was also an adoring sister, aunt, and friend to many. As a strong Christian woman, she was a member of Telford Grace Brethren Church. She took great pride in her jobs as a lifelong Secretary.
Survivors include a brother, Jack Snapp and wife Alma Ruth, Limestone; step-daughter, Karen Greer, Telford; grandchildren, Anita Kyker Dykes, Ginny Kyker Gillen, Kristin France, Stacy Bednarek, Hiro France, Jogi France, and Charlie Baker; great-grandchildren Kassidy Dykes, Caleb Dykes, Kaley Dykes, Charlsie Gillen, Leigh Tarlton, Logan France, Nathan Kinnick, Natalie Kinnick, Michael Ray Ramsey, Kaytlin Bednarek, and Ashley Ramsey; great great-grandchild Liam Caldwell; nieces, Brenda Ealey (Freddie), and Donna Bishop; nephews, Roger Barnes (Pat) and Wayne Barnes (Debbie).
Funeral services will be conducted 5:00 pm Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Craig Ponder and Pastor Bob Skeen officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm Sunday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 12 Noon, Monday, February 20, 2017 at Telford Grace Brethren Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dykes, Caleb Dykes, Santo Cicirello, Freddie Ealey, Jonathan Kyker, Roger Barnes and Joseph Gillen.
