Mrs. Mabel Louise R. Hunt, age 96, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Cornerstone South.
Mrs. Hunt was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Al V. & Ann Elizabeth Kent Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John H. Hunt, Sr., three brothers, Robert “Bob” Rogers, Fred Rogers and Earl Rogers and one sister, Ruby Haney.
She had worked for the Washington County School System.
Survivors include three children, John Hunt, Jr. and wife Karen, Anita Martin and Teresa Webb and husband Loyd; grandchildren, Angela Hunt, John Chris Hunt, Joey Hunt, Billy Hunt and John B. Webb; great-grandchildren, Terrence & Tasha Emmert, J.C. Curtis and Jonah Hunt, Billy, Jacob “Jake” & Cole Hunt; one great-great-grandson, Colby Hunt; and several nephews and nieces.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Cornerstone South for their wonderful, loving care given to Mabel.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Washington County Memory Gardens.

John, we are sorry to hear about Mabels passing.
You were a very loyal, faithful son and spent many
years caring for your mom true to your
convictions. She had a good, long life which you
helped her have and though I know you'll miss her,
you will rest easier knowing she's at rest. We
pray the Lord's comfort for you, Karen and family.

to the family i am so sorry for your loss but i am
your set lil moma is so happy right with jesus she
was always telling me she was so ready to meet
Jesus, I love taking care of her and i loved her
so very much i'll never forget when she let me
paint her toenails she said oh how beautiful they
were even tho she had Anita take it off she still
thought they were so pretty she was so sweet.Iwill

To the family I loved lil Mabel I loved taking care of her,I
remember one day she finally let me paint her toes I painted
them pink she loved them she thot they www beautiful even
tho she got Anita to take it off she still loved it,she was so
sweet I will keep you guys in my prayers please give me a ring

Doc,just wanted to let you know that all of us are out of town at
this time. Jack,Jill and Mark all of us grew up knowing your
Mom and Dad,they were just like they were a part of our
family. We will miss your mom,just like we miss ours. May God
be with you and your family durning your time of sorrow. We
