Mrs. Slonaker was my 5th grade teacher at Jonesborough Middle School and was one of my favorite teachers. She was so kind to each and every student in our class and treated us with the same respect she required from her students. Her smile would immediately put me at ease and brighten my day. I appreciate her enthusiasm for the county 4-H program, as being a part of that organization taught me many life skills and provided loads of fun throughout my childhood. And it all started in her wonderful 5th grade class so long ago.
