Mr. Delmer “Red” Williford, age 80, Erwin, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Williford was born in Sevier County and son of the late Else and Josephine Hensley Long Williford. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lena M. Williford, six brothers and one sister.
He was a retired Barber.
He was a member of Embreeville Cove Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Connie Cochran (Terry) Jonesborough, where he resided the last 11 months, Patty Williford, (Scotty) North Carolina and Nina Jordan, (Steve), South Carolina; grandsons, Jason Poff (Lisa), Eric Justus (Cecilia), and John Broyles, (Shelby); granddaughters, Penny Skipper, Kimberly Martin (Shawn), Brittany Ratcliffe, Tori Ratcliffe and Lauren Jordan; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 8 pm Friday, August 19, 2016 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Otis Banks, and Rev. Joey Murdock officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 pm Friday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11 am Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Bumpass Cove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Butler, Charlie Freeman, Jason Poff, Eric Justus, John Broyles, and Steve Banner. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men of Embreeville Cove Baptist Church.
