Mr. Dewey E. Stout, age 95, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Stout was born in Johnson City and son of the late Dewey & Lena Day Stout. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Stout, brothers, Jack Stout and Dave Stout, a sister, Mary Chatman, grandsons, Louie Piercy and Kenneth Lee Stout and a granddaughter, Jewel Watts.
He was a member of Crossroads Cathedral in Oklahoma City and attended Cherokee Baptist Church in Jonesborough.
Mr. Stout was a Mechanic for Leon-Fernbach. He loved carpentry.
He was a United States Army Veteran.
Survivors include five daughters and sons-in-law, Kay & Tom Baines, Phyllis & Larry Wiseman, Sue & R.A. Faulkner, Patricia & Leroy Watts and Lisa & Darrell Brown; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack & Debbie Stout and Mark & Jodi Stout; grandchildren, Tommy Baines, Dawn Baines (Jarid Edwards), Shannon Horton (Westley Austin), Chasity Banner (Stephen), Kevin Piercy (Amy), Brandy Faulkner, Malina Watts, Trisha Watts (Maria), Jessie Watts (Justin McKinney), Dustin Brown (Nicole Felts), Ashley Simms (Nathaniel), Amber Brown and Christy Stout, Shawn Stout, Kathy Lynn Beam (Ray) and David Burrell (Lisa); great-grandchildren, Jenna, Kaidon, Kaylan, Jordan, Dalton, Koda, Haley, Nessa, Cheyenne, Shayla, Trevar, Akeela, Zachary, Zeke, Joshua, Catherine, Adelynn, Jeslynn, Ava, Addison, Kearston, Jacob, Aria, Andrew, Kelsey, Amber and Sarah; special friends, Rachel & Wayne Harr; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Sunday, July17, 2016 at Cherokee Baptist Church with Pastor Dwight Hobbs officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday prior to the service.
Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 am Monday, July 18, 2016 at Cherokee Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Baines, Kevin Percy, Nathaniel Simms, Dustin Brown, Jarid Edwards, Tom Baines, Jordan Veatch and Larry Wiseman.

Uncle Jr. was a good man. He and his family has have
always been in my life, and I will always have those
memories. I can see him smiling now. My love and
