Charles D Martin, 93, of Jonesboro passed away on July 9, 2016 of natural causes.
He is survived by his son, Charles P Martin of Morganton, NC, granddaughter, Melissa (Martin) Carmichael and great-grandchildren, Carmela, Toni & Lawton Carmichael of Tipp City, OH.
He worked at Oak Ridge Laboratory during the war and was the last private owner of the historic Chester Inn and The Dinner Bell.
He requested that there be no service as he has donated his body to Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University.
