Mrs. Betty L. Stoots, age 80, Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Lakebridge Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Stoots was born in Letcher County, Kentucky and daughter of the late Earl and Ethel, Boggs Johnson. She was also proceeded in death by two brothers.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Stoots was a hairdresser for over 42 years and former Manager of Lamerick Beauty Salon at Kings Department Store.
Survivors include her husband, James S. Stoots, Johnson City; a son, Mike Stoots, Flag Pond; daughter, Patricia Roberts, Johnson City; brothers, Bob Boggs and Lewis Boggs; three grandchildren, Shannon Stoots, Shaun Roberts and Saylor Rose Stoots; great-grandchild, Kayley Catherman; special friend, Connie Abel.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Lenny Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Providence Cemetery. Family request friends meet at the cemetery at 1:45 pm Sunday.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
