Mary “Louise” Staten Sparks Russell, age 59, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday July 5, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Russell was born in Jonesborough a daughter of the late Robert L. Staten Sr. and Lucille Staten Fields. In addition to her father, she was proceeded in death by a daughter, Pamela Sparks; a sister, Barbara Norton; a brother, Charles Staten; grandparents, Frank and Ruth Ferguson, and Paris and Julie Staten; mother-in-law, Cassandra Y. Russell Allen; brothers-in-law, Gary Addington and Harvey Bumper Russell.
Mrs. Russell was of the Baptist faith. She was employed at the Volunteer Blind Industries in Johnson City and Morristown.
She loved anything to do with Mickey Mouse.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Russell; daughter, Jennifer Tipton; mother, Lucille Fields; sisters, Bonnie Norton (Ronnie), Peggy Addington, and Shirley Davis (Danny); brothers, Robert Staten Jr., Tommy Staten, Allen Staten; grandchildren, Tiffany Coffee (John), Billy Tipton; great-grandchildren Tomas, Aden, and Joe; brothers-in-law, George Norton, Herman Russell, Gregory Russell, and Troy R. Russell; sisters-in-law, Sandra Y. Russell and Chontey Y. Russell; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her special Fiends at Volunteer Blind Industries.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 6:00 �" 8:00 PM at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate the life of Louise.
