Mr. W. Ken Austin, age 68, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at his residence after a brave battle with ALS.
Mr. Austin was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and son of the late Keith & Lillian Joos Austin.
He was a member of First Christian Church of Johnson City. He loved the Lord and his wife with all his heart. He was an accomplished photographer.
Mr. Austin was a United States Air Force Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Austin, Jonesborough; two sons, Derek Austin, Salt Lake City, Utah and Keith Austin, Gastonia, North Carolina; and one daughter, Kristen Austin, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 am Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Pastor Karl Gasser and Rev. Donald Mushayamunba officiating. The family request friends meet at the funeral home at 9:15 am to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.

It was a blessing to me to serve you and get to know you briefly and I enjoyed our conversation . I am deeply saddened to hear of bro. It was at church that I first met Ken and Jean shortly after they moved to Jonesborough. Ken was a kind and pleasant man, willing to help, devoted to his wife Jean, and loved the Lord. Ken was a great conversationalist, and his dry wit and warm smile will be missed greatly. He is at rest now with Our Savior, Jesus
