Mrs. Mary Dugger, age 77, Gray, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Dugger was born in Ashe County, NC and daughter of the late Thomas & Bertha Taylor Brewer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. Dugger in 2000, son, Jerry L. Dugger, and three brothers, Fred Brewer, Billy Ray Brewer and Ernest Brewer.
She attended New Beginning Church in Limestone. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her garden, cooking and reading.
Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Bright (Johnny), Gray; son, James E. Dugger, Jr. (Christina), Mountain City; daughter-in-law, Sherry Dugger, Bluff City; fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Bonnie Jones (John), Jonesborough; three brothers, Tommy Brewer (Susie), James Brewer (Dorothy) and Bob Brewer, all of Mountain City; special friend, Peggy Henry, Gray; and many nephews and nieces.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Amedysis Hospice for their wonderful, loving care.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Baker’s Gap Cemetery, Mountain City.
Pallbearers will be James Bright, Christian Dugger, Anthony Chapman, Robbie Brewer, Jason Brewer and Fred Brewer, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Scottie Jaynes and William Scott.
