Mr. P.A. Woodfin, age 80, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at NHC Healthcare of Johnson City.
Mr. Woodfin was born in Washington County, September 12, 1935 to the late Elmer E. & Myrtle Jones Woodfin. He was also preceded in death by a son, Keith Allen Woodfin, step-sons Paul Dixon and Kenny Mitchell, two sisters and two brothers and a special friend Raymond Berry.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years Etlel Woodfin, one daughter, Lisa Church; one son, Brian Woodfin (Karen) stepdaughters, Patsy Carey and husband Ed, Mary Stewart and husband Carl, and Carolyn Lewis and husband Bruce, stepsons, Tommy Mitchell and wife Barbara, Charlie Mitchell, Gary Mitchell and wife Jayne, and Robert Mitchell and wife Angel; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Allie M. Lane and Queenie Yates (David); three brothers, Fred Woodfin (Sarah), Eugene Woodfin (Barbara) and Billy Joe Woodfin (Mary); special nephew, Billy Woodfin; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday June 15, 2016 7:00 PM at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Kim Casey officiating, the family will receive friends from 5:00- 7:00PM prior to the service. Music will be provided by Lydia Honeycutt and Hanna Casey.
Graveside services will be Thursday June 16, 2016 1:00 PM at Garland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Kelly, Justin Miller, Jerry Blevins, Carl Stewart Jr, Robert Mitchell and Brian Woodfin. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Blevins, Billy Woodfin, Billy Franklin and Pat Woodfin.
