Mrs. Rebecca Ruth Myers, age 89, Ewing, Virginia, passed from this life to Heaven’s Glory on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Lonesome Pine Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
Ruth was born in Lee County, Virginia and daughter of the late Arthur & Bessie Mae Littrell Howard. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Hamlett and second husband, Jack Myers.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Ruth and James Hamlett ran a store in the Arthur community for several years.
Survivors include a son, Richard Hamlett, Spencer, TN; two brothers, Walter D. Howard, Ewing and William S. Howard (Glenda) Fort Worth, TX; two sisters, Elda Bryan (Mahlon) Atlanta, GA and Betty Gilley (Robert), Middletown, OH; several nephews, nieces and many friends in the Arthur community.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Lee County Health & Rehab, Pennington and staff of Lonesome Pine Hospital for their wonderful, loving care.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Ely Cemetery, Arthur, Tennessee with Rev. Shane Kahkola officiating.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
