Ms. Shelley Elizabeth Saylor, age 40, Jonesborough, went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 22, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Ms. Saylor was born in Washington County and daughter of Lawton & Jane Bowman Saylor, Jonesborough.
She was a member of Eden United Methodist Church.
She was a 1994 graduate of David Crockett High School and attended Northeast State. She retired from AT&T and love the outdoors especially camping, Bass fishing, all animals and the beach. Shelley was an avid traveler from east coast to west coast.
Shelley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Loyd & Alma Lee Saylor and Hunter & Edna Bowman.
In addition to her parents, survivors include one sister, Wendy Saylor McCurry and husband Steve; nephews, Jacob Ensor and wife, Brooklyn, Joshua Ensor; great niece, Emberlyn Ensor; beloved Cocker Spaniel, Macy; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Johnson City Medical Center doctors, nurses and staff of 4200 and 4300, Dr. Katherine Peters and staff at Brain Tumor Center at Duke, for all the care, love and support during Shelley’s illness. ``
Although she suffered with cancer, she was an inspiration to others and lived her life to the fullest.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jake Herron officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday prior to the service.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, April 25, 2016 at Greenwood Eden Cemetery. Friends are requested to gather at the cemetery at 10:45 am prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Ensor, Joshua Ensor, Travis Leonard, Brent Moseley, Greg Bowman and Wayne Dulaney.
Precious Shelley, it is hard to believe it has been 6 years since you walked through heaven's gates. Your memory lives on and always with much love.

Shelley has always been an Angel from heaven. I have
never met anyone as sweet and beautiful inside and
