Mrs. Betty Lou Groves, age 74, Limestone, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Groves was born August 24, 1941 in Roanoke, VA. The daughter of the late Luther Pernell Tingler & Elsie Mae Wheeler Tingler Markward. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Alan Groves,
She was a Christian.
Mrs. Groves enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful cook. She had a big heart and soft spot for animals especially her cats. Betty was a beautiful woman inside and out and will be missed very much by her family.
Survivors include sons, Matthew A. Groves and wife Brenda, Elizabethton, Mark T. Groves and wife Vicki, Jonesborough and Michael F. Groves, Gray; step-son, Mitch A. Lau and wife Dang, Hawaii; one daughter; several grandchildren including, Phillip M. Groves, Crystal D. Bennett and Andrea B. Campbell; great-grandchildren including, Jaylie and Micah Campbell, Summer Bennett; four sisters, Shirley Ann Barrett, Lee Steele, Sandra Sue Roberts and Sarah Love; two brothers, Luther Tingler and Robert Lafferty; and many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 pm Sunday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Groves, Matthew Groves, Michael Groves, Phillip Groves, Robert Lafferty and Luther Tingler.

Betty will be so missed. She always had a smile on
her face and you could just see that twinkle in her

Phil and barara Reeves
Betty the years went by Phil and I you and Phil we
moved went seperate ways. I will alwasys remember
those days in ceder valley. You and I had some fun
times. Older I become how I miss those days. I will
miss you and will remember you rest of my life.
