Mrs. Genevieve P. “Jan” Rodifer, age 75, Jonesborough, passed away, from a brief illness, Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Rodifer was born in High Point, NC and daughter of the late Banner & Ionia Knipe Price. She was also preceded in death by a son, Edward Rodifer and a brother and a sister.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Rodifer was a member of Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Rodifer, Sr., Jonesborough; five children, Beverly Weirich (Bill), John Rodifer, Jr. (Linda), Debra Harbach, Kimberly Hyder (Patrick), and Jason Rodifer (Lauralyn); daughter-in-law, Jane Rodifer; two brothers; seven sisters; many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Beaver and Pastor Perry Cleek officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, April 11, 2016 at Peterson’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill Weirich, Patrick Hyder, Joshua Hyder, Jason Rodifer, John Rodifer, Jr., Ben Rodifer, Jonathon Rodifer, Billy Weirich, Richard Weirich, Nick Rodifer and David Price.
