Mack and Family, I have fond memories of working with Elva when I was an orderly in the old Johnson City Memorial Hospital while I was in college before going to UT Medical School in Memphis. She was an iconic lady with the legend of always being able to get even the hardest IV started. Seems like only yesterday. To have lived 98 years is wonderful. Pop Johnson made it to 98 and Grandmaw Johnson made it to 98. I guess we have pretty good genes in us. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Kenny and Carol Johnson Newport

Mack, My favorite memories of your mother is while I was playing a quick tune on the piano, she stood and danced a little. The smile on her face was so delightful! And then the day she played Tennessee Waltz on the keyboard! I've not known her but for a few months, but feel like I had a true friend. She will be missed by so many but her memories will live on forever. Much love and prayers to you and the family. God bless!
