Mrs. Dolores Collins, age 90, Knoxville, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at NHC Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Collins was a native of Knoxville, TN and the daughter of the late Fred Dennis and Nancy Emma Walker Strange. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles C. Collins, step-father Roy Strange and a brother Freddie Dennis.
Mrs. Collins was a member of Central Baptist Church in Fountain City, TN.
Survivors include her son Patrick Collins and his wife Cecilia, Jonesborough; granddaughter Brooke Stayer and husband Tim; great-grandson Ethan Stayer, Jonesborough; half-brother Ramon Alcolea, Provincetown, Mass., cousins, Betty Yearwood, Blacksburg, VA. and Jean Fletcher, Jefferson City, TN., special friend Fay Kinley, Jonesborough; friends, Luvanne Hubbs, Johnson City, Priscillia Lynch, Jonesborough, Anglia Burton, Johnson City.
Vitiation for Mrs. Collins will be Saturday March 12, 2016 5:00-7:00PM at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Sunday March 13, 2016 2:00PM at Lynnhurst Cemetery, 2300 W. Adair Dr. Knoxville TN. with Rev. Ron Mouser officiating. Pallbearers will be Joshua Lynch, Anthony Lynch, Michael Barto, Andy Mitchell, Bill Mitchell, Clyde Lay and Mike Bartlett. Honorary Bearers will be Ramon Alcolea, Jon Reed, Wayne Barto, Dick Creswell, Tim Stayer, Ethan Stayer and Derek Lynch.

Dolores meant the world to me. I grew up with her in my life, she was like a sister. A finer person you could not find. She was (as they use to say ) a "jewel". I loved her and my family did too. We will have you in our thoughts along with Aunt Emma and Dolores. Patrick and Cecilia you took such good care of Dolores, it was a comfort knowing you were there for her. Yours with love, Betty
