Mr. Alfred Dean Kinnick, age 67, Limestone, passed away from injuries sustained from the tractor-trailer accident in Pennsylvania on Saturday morning, February 13, 2016.
Mr. Kinnick was born in Washington County, TN and son of the late James & Velma Adams Kinnick. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Kenneth “Cubby” McCracken.
He was a loving husband, daddy, papaw, brother, brother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, uncle and friend.
Dean was a Christian, who was never ashamed to say so. He never had a harsh word and was very well respected by his family, friends and community. He will be deeply missed.
He had been a truck driver for more than 28 years. He enjoyed his job, co-workers and Gods country. He enjoyed playing croquet, rook and building windmills. He also enjoyed playing jokes on family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Jo McCracken Kinnick, of 48 years, whom he loved with all his heart. He is also survived by three children, and their spouses, Mike & Shanna Kinnick, Lori & Thomas Smith and Michelle Ward; seven grandchildren, Michael & Zachary Kinnick, Shayla Harmon, Aubree Hensley, Tori, Conner, and Ethan Smith; four great-grandchildren, MayBelle, Marshall, Isabella Kinnick and Trey Harmon; siblings and their spouses, Velma Jean & Roger Gillin, Steve & Carolyn Kinnick and Mike Kinnick; mother-in-law, Lillian McCracken; in-laws, Linda & Lee Houser, Genice & Richard Adams, and David McCracken; many nephews and nieces; special friends, Jerry Greer, R.A. Sparks, Pierce “Goose” Barley, Bill Dooley and numerous other truck driving buddies.
The family would like to thank each and every one for their prayers and support during this most difficult time.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, February, 21, 2016 at the Limestone Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Roach officiating. Friends are requested to meet at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home 1:30 pm Sunday to go in procession to Limestone Freewill Baptist Church. Interment services will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be R.A. Sparks, Jerry Greer, Johnathan Hartman, Robert “Bart” Harrison, Wasson Broyles and Scott Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Robby Seals, John Cook, Mike Jaynes, Scottie Jaynes, Perce Barley and Don Rhew.
