Mr. Roy W. “Bill” Holloway, Jr. age 78, Jonesborough, passed away peacefully at his home and is now with his Lord, on Monday, February 1, 2016 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy W. Holloway, Sr., mother, Edith L. Holloway, sisters, Dolores Stein and Glenna Bundy.
Survivors include Frankie Myers Holloway, wife, daughter, Brenda Pruitt and husband Tim, Mark Holloway and wife Courtney, grandchildren, Jennifer Pruitt, Kelly Zumkehr, Jake Holloway and Levi Holloway, brother, Buddy Holloway and wife Betty, sister, Judy Wilson and husband Rick, aunts Helen Miles and Virgie Ford, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Some of his friends include Ed & Carol Lingerfelt, Isaac Money, Dan and Cindy Rash, John and Nelda Mynatt and too many others to name.
Bill was a loving husband and father and grandfather and will be missed by all. He loved to fish, hunt and tinker with anything he could take apart and put back together. He worked at ET&WNC Trucking for many years. His heart was bigger than his wallet, but he would give you his last dime if you needed it.
He was of the Baptist faith and had attended New Victory Baptist Church when his health was better. He really loved Southern Gospel Music.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Lester Morelock and Dr. Kevin Morris officiating. Music will be provided by Anita Meade and Travis O’Quinn. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 10:45 am Friday, February 5, 2016 at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jake Holloway, Levi Holloway, Rick Wilson, Isaac Money, Mike Jones and Mark Holloway. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Bundy, Jeff Haynes and Buddy Holloway.

Wherever Bill is right now I do hope the crappie are biting, the deer are grazing within easy rifle shot and the coffee is hot. I would say I hope his boat is in good tune and never misses a beat, but knowing Bill I suspect he'd just as soon be working on it. RIP Bill.
