Mr. Ricky Lynn “Squirrel” Pate, age 55, Jonesborough, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday December 31, 2015.
Mr. Pate was born in Unicoi County and son of the late Joe Gleason Pate and Wanda Pate Sparks (Lewis Sparks, Jr.). He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Milten & Jet Pate, Foy & Gladys Duncan and J.C. Couch.
Survivors include three sisters, Anita Hensley (Carl), Joe Pate Lee and Jean Keys (Clay); brothers, Floyd Pate (T.J.), Tom Sparks and Jack Sparks; several nephews, nieces, great nephews & nieces and special aunts.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Gregg Davis and Rev. Sarah Wells officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Necessary, Josh Pate, Hobie Arrowood, Joseph Sparks, Michael Sparks, Jason Hensley and Jeff Anderson.
