Mr. J. B. Curtis, age 84, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Curtis was born in Washington County and son of the late Andrew Martin & Paralee Copas Curtis. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Sue Gunn, brothers, J.A. Curtis, Earnest Curtis, Howard Curtis, Carl Curtis, Jerry Curtis and Gary Curtis, and two sisters, Lexie Curtis and Marie Curtis, and a daughter-in-law, Beth Curtis.
He was a Millwright and retired from Ford Motor Company.
Mr. Curtis was a United States Army Veteran having serviced during the Korean War. He traveled to Washington DC as a part of the Honor Flight Mission #3. He appreciated the ones who went with him. He liked to golf and loved to be at home.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Jones Curtis, Jonesborough; three sons, Jerry Curtis, of the home, John W. Curtis and Joseph Andrew Curtis, both of Michigan; grandchildren, Austin Curtis, Aaron Gunn and Sarah Jane McGann; brothers, Bill Curtis, Maynard Curtis and Kenneth Curtis; sisters, Ruth Brant and first class brother-in-law, Jim and Rachel Godsey; special niece, Carolyn Curtis; and several nephews and nieces.
